Blink Charging is a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and has deployed over 23,000 charging stations, many of which are networked EV charging stations, and have over 180,000 registered members. Blink was founded in 2009 and based in Miami Beach. Blink designs, manufactures, owns, and operates EV charging equipment and the cloud-based software, the Blink Network, which connects the chargers.
Blink Charging recently launched the Mobile Emergency L2 charger to aid stranded EV drivers. The Mobile Emergency Charger is the newest addition to a product line and features the IQ 200 smart charger. The unit is capable of 9.6 kW delivering up to 1 mile of charge per minute.
Blink’s principal product, the IQ 200, is the fastest commercial L2 EV charger available with an output of up to 19.2 kW. Blink also offers DC fast-charging stations in 50kW and 175kW capacities and a single-family residential charger, the HQ 100, for efficient and fast home charging.
With global EV purchases forecasted to rise to 10 million vehicles by 2025 from approximately 2 million in 2019, Blink has established key strategic partnerships for rolling out adoption across numerous location types, including parking facilities, multifamily residences and condos, workplace locations, health care/medical facilities, schools and universities, airports, auto dealers, hotels, mixed-use municipal locations, parks and recreation areas, religious institutions, restaurants, retailers, stadiums, supermarkets, and transportation hubs.
